It was in 1968, when the patriarch, Mr. Co Yak Lian decided to venture into a business to provide a better future for his family. With a few savings at hand, a passion, and a strong determination to succeed, he was able to establish a small trading business right at the heart of Malabon, Rizal.
Through hard work, strong stewardship and with the help of his beloved wife, they were able to transform the company into a manufacturing of noodles. Eventually, their equally dedicated children were able to evolve the company into one of the respected manufacturing, distributing, and trading food companies in the Philippines, which is now more famously known as Gold Label Resources Incorporated (GLRI).
